Halloween Village

My wife has amassed quite a collection for her Christmas Village over the years. Starting out with a few houses, it has grown to include a Port one side and a Lumberjack camp on the other.

This year, we decided to do something a little different. In anticipation of Halloween, we made a few additions to what is now known as her Halloween Village.

Past Christmas Village

The Mummy

Thanks to a lot of patience and the help of all her friends, her Christmas Village has grown in size. Some of the offerings include several figures, a Kissing Booth, a moving musical Ski Resort, and a Mobile Store used to sell Christmas Trees.

Putting all of this on our biggest table already made it snug last year. But since that table was unavailable this year, we had to jam everything on a collection of smaller ones. Instead of a wide rectangle we had last year, we now have an L-shaped collection.

Today’s Halloween Village

Instead of making things appear disjointed, the L-shape actually turned out to be a much better design because the Halloween village could be separated from the rest of the holiday houses. Having its own little corner meant that Santa Clause could still deliver the gifts in relative safety.

Dracula

But any poor souls who happen to end up on the wrong side of town might become food for Dracula, the Mummy, or Frankenstein and his Bride. And the one who will do the chopping will be Jason from Friday the 13th before being handed off to a couple of witches to boil.

Pumpkin Patch Girl

But if they happened to walk on the right side of the Halloween Village, they may not be in so much danger as a kid happily sits on a patch of pumpkins while she stares in to the blue yonder. Little do they know that this kid is a homicidal maniac who poisoned her foster parents and buried them underneath the pumpkin patch.

Terrified Couple

Even the young happy couple sitting on the bench with a man carving a pumpkin is terrified to the bone by this cute little girl. And speaking about bones, the mouth of a cave near the haunted houses is littered with them. This is where the little girl initially thought to bury her foster parents, but realized that the monster in the cave only wanted live food.

Giant Snake

She then tried to feed them to the giant snake, but it was too busy having dinner. She then tried to dump the remains in several haunted houses, but the ghosts didn’t want to take additional souls. So she sits on the pumpkin patch, making sure that no one strays there by accident.

Final Thoughts

Frankenstein and his Bride

My wife may love making stories for little children when they come and see here Christmas Village, but now that there is a Halloween village, it’ll be my turn with the stories! And instead Santa and his Reindeer, it will include Dracula, the Mummy, Frankenstein, and the homicidal child who buried her foster parents under the pumpkin patch.
